8th January 2007 - Zloty weakens on nomination of new NBP President
The nomination of Slawomir Skrzypek as the next President of the National Bank of Poland (NBP) has been greeted unfavourably by the financial markets. The Warsaw Stock Exchange has dropped sharply after a record-breaking start to the year, and the Polish zloty has weakened against all major currencies. Today 1 PLN = 3.87 EUR / 2.97 USD / 5.75 GBP
