31st August 2006 - Polish interest rates held at current levels
As was widely expected, the Polish Monetary Policy Council held interest rates at current levels after meeting for their August sitting. This keeps the reference rate at a level of 4%, and most market analysts expect the rate to remain steady till at least the end of 2006, as inflation remains in check.
